As the month of July is dedicated to the Small Christian Communities (SCC) in the Archdiocese of Bombay, the Holy Family Parish witnessed a spirit-filled and joyous celebration on 20th July 2025 on Sunday as 105 SCC Cluster Animators were commissioned during a special service, marking a significant moment in the life of the parish community.

The commissioning ceremony took place within the Holy Eucharist, invoking the blessings of the Holy Spirit upon the newly appointed and continuing Animators who have willingly accepted the call to serve in their respective clusters.
The event began with a solemn entrance procession, where the Animators were warmly welcomed by the congregation. During the commissioning rite, each Animator was blessed and entrusted with the responsibility to foster unity, faith, and service in their communities.
The Assistant Parish Priest, in his homily, emphasized the vital role of SCCs in building a strong, prayerful, and participatory Church. He encouraged the Animators to be living witnesses of Christ through humble service and compassionate leadership.
The ceremony was followed by a short fellowship where the Animators interacted, shared experiences, and renewed their commitment to the mission of the Church.
This gathering of 105 dedicated individuals reflects the growing strength of the SCC movement within the parish. Their readiness to serve is a testament to the vibrant faith and community spirit that characterizes Holy Family Parish.
May God continue to bless all the Animators in their journey of service, and may their efforts bear abundant fruit in the vineyard of the Lord.
