Goregaon West, Mumbai – For the second consecutive year, Fr. Anto Denish and his dedicated team are hosting the much-anticipated sports festival at Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Goregaon West, scheduled from November 3rd to November 10th, 2024. Known for his compassion and dynamic leadership, Fr. Anto continues to bring parishioners together in the spirit of fellowship and community service.
The week-long celebration includes a unique food festival where attendees can enjoy a variety of dishes at no cost, guided by Fr. Anto’s vision of community support and generosity. A donation drop box at the event will accept contributions toward festival costs. Notably, last year’s festival raised a surplus of ₹2.00 lacs, which he generously donated to Ankur Children’s Home, an orphanage in Mira Bhayandar, extending the impact of the event beyond the parish.
Through this festival, Fr. Anto actively involves the parish’s youth and children, encouraging them to take part in activities that foster service, sportsmanship, and community responsibility. His initiative has strengthened bonds within the community, transforming the festival into a celebration of compassion and unity.
The sports and culinary festival are a testament to the parish’s commitment to fostering community spirit and upholding Christian values. As Fr. Anto and his team welcome everyone to participate in this joyful blend of sports, spirituality, and charity, they remind the parish that acts of service can create lasting change for humanity and the glory of God. He hopes to see similar initiatives implemented in parishes across the region.
