On 28 February, 2026, the members of the St Augustine Community gathered at Yuvathi Sharan Hostel, Prabhadevi for a prayerful celebration of the Stations of the Cross. In a spirit of reverence and reflection, the faithful meditated on Christ’s Passion and sacrifice. Each Station was meaningfully led by the youth, whose thoughtful reflections created a solemn and engaging atmosphere that invited all present into deeper prayer.

We were blessed by the presence of Sr Sunita and Sr Carol from Convent Girls’ High School, Sr Theresa and Sr Irene from Yuvathi Sharan, and Br Ranjith of the Montfort Brothers. Their participation enriched the celebration and strengthened the sense of communion within the Church.

The evening concluded with the Religious sharing their vocation testimonies. Their personal and hope-filled accounts of their calling, vows, joys, and challenges offered a powerful witness to the beauty of Consecrated Life. Their stories reminded us that consecrated persons are ordinary individuals who respond generously to God’s extraordinary call.

The gathering also reflected on the significance of Consecrated Life (Reflection Note for SCCs – Feb. 2026) and the theme, “Consecrated for Mission: Listening to Religious Vocations, Awakening Every Baptised Person’s Call.”

The event helped the laity appreciate Consecrated Life as a living witness of love, service, and faith, while encouraging every baptised person to discern and live their vocation wholeheartedly. This event built a strong bond of fellowship between the religious and the laity present.
