Parents' Day is a special occasion to honour and appreciate the unconditional love, support, and sacrifices made by parents. This was exhibited in each zone of St. Anthony’s Church, Vakola.
Parents' Day was jointly celebrated on 27th July by Community 25 and 29 of Zone 4. It offered a beautiful platform for children and youth to express their gratitude and affection toward their parents. The event included a warm welcome, followed by a prayer service organized by the children, games and activities for parents and concluded with a vote of thanks. As a token of appreciation, handmade bookmarks were presented to each parent—a small gesture filled with love and respect.
In Zone 3, Parents' Day was organized on 2nd August at St. Anthony’s school hall. Nearly 280 community members came together to celebrate the joy of parenthood. The youth poured their energy and creativity into organizing fun games and lively entertainment, while the community coordinators ensured that everyone was well cared for with delicious snacks and refreshments. What made the evening truly memorable was the spirit of togetherness. Every member felt included, connected, and part of the celebration.
On 10th August, Zone 2 celebrated Parents' Day at St. Charles school hall. This event brought together parents from 8 Communities, creating a lively atmosphere of excitement. The event was graced by Priests and Religious. Everyone enjoyed participating in games, spot prizes, singing, and dancing. Light refreshments were served to keep the energy up. The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback, and its success was a tribute to the outstanding team effort of Zone 2 Coordinators.
Besides these celebrations, different communities in all the 5 zones visited parents and grandparents to greet them with a gift, reciting a prayer and spending few moments in appreciation for their valuable presence to the community.
Parents' Day 2025 was truly a memorable occasion filled with love, laughter, and gratitude.
